What are the features you feel lacking in the 50D, as technically speaking, theres not much to be gained by going to the 7Dii or the 80D. I agree with the above something mirrorless will likely give you a a much larger jump in capability. However this depends again on what you feel is lacking...
X series are great on size compared to a normal FF mirrorless, and especially compared to a large dslr!
There's some good Fuji native lenses which are both wide angle and compact so long as you don't want faster than f2 or so. I must admit I like my X-t30 more than I expected moving from a...
Depends on the jeans and size of the battery. My Levis are tight with the larger Canon lpe6, but no problem with my battery for my X-t30. My gstar or cheap jeans or any of my chinos fit either battery no problem.
I must admit I stopped using a normal neck strap years ago. Full frame dslr with a heavy lens had my neck in pieces after a few hours. Peak design clutch on my 5d to prevent an accidental drop, with a capture clip on my backpack shoulder strap for carrying. On my X-t30 then a peak design cuff is...
I made a similar choice last year but wanted a one lens solution in the main and settled for an X-t30 with the 16-80/f4 OIS lens. Great combination and much more portable than my 5d3 with a 24-105 or similar!
CLA45 is a great car, as is the C43 (plus they have 4wd compared to C63 or M3). I test drove a few of each before I went for my S7. The C63 and M3 were hideous at putting the power down even in the dry! C43 would be my choice of them, but I went for an Audi S7 as I wanted a V8 so badly!
And not every train will stop at the smaller stations either as they'll be straight through to Edinburgh! :)
On the plus side I'll give you a wave as you pass as the east coast mainline runs by the end of my garden!
Agreed, sounds like he just wants a few hundred knocking off the price. Offer he return it in same condition as he received it and offer full refund. I'm guessing he'll resist as he wants the camera just at a lower price.
They are fairly reliable (as in they don't really get delayed in traffic), however one breakdown will see a long wait for a replacement service. To be honest if I was spending 3 days out of the capital and travelling all this way by train, I'd do one day in Edinburgh, one day in York/Durham and...
Costco (Gateshead) is normally if I'm passing or already in there, Sainsbury's is the closest two super markets with fuel (Washington or Durham) . The nearest Tesco with fuel is even further than Costco for me (Bishop Auckland or Newcastle). All the local shell garages are hideously expensive...
