Micro 4 3rds sell it to me

I agree with most of your response. Most of mine is macro. I suppose I am looking for a ff camera for 35mm and 85mm primes for more candid photographs of people. I have tried with my 4/3 primes, f1.2 ish, but find I need a flash to get lower noise. For wildlife and macro, no issue. Plus, I...

Micro 4 3rds sell it to me

You are right about the practicality of the 300mm f4. Could be persuaded to forgo the OM 1 for wildlife though. I only use it in lieu of when the insects in the winter are not about. So selling up except for macro might be my option. It’s the noise that kills it for me. ISO 800 is about the...

Micro 4 3rds sell it to me

I am in a different sort of dilemma. Had an OM 5, OM 1X and currently an OM1. For macro, which is my preferred genre of photography, then I think it is great. I also, use the 300mm f4 with the 1.4 converter, for wildlife. With macro , I find that shooting at ISO 400 or less, with flash and a...

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

No, it isn't. I bought a JJC version, that was significantly cheaper than the Olympus one. I still have it. I believe they are about £20 on Amazon. I could let you have it for £10 posted if you want. Just sat in my cupboard taking up space.

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

I had the 60mm before buying the 90mm macro. You won’t go wrong with the 60mm, excellent value for the money. I don’t think your Godox will work with the Olympus though.

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

Olympus 60mm macro is a very good value for money lens to get started. Pair it with a Godox V860iii flash, and you will have a very capable macro set up.

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

I can only reference the answer in terms of Olympus. If you do in camera focus stacking, the camera will take (say 15 images in raw), and then perform an in camera process to produce the stacked final image ( of the 15 images ) as a jpeg. However, it still records all the raw files taken to...

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

My go to settings for macro are quite simple. I have tried these settings on OM5, OM DE1X and the OM 1, so they work well regardless of camera body. Two bits of kit which make a real difference are the flash and a diffuser. I use a Godox V860iiiwithan Ak diffuser. The advantage of the Godox V...

Is it worth moving from Fuji to Olympus just for Macro Photography?

I can only echo what a few of the above posters have said, in support of Olympus. I am using OM 1 with 90 mm macro and Godox V860 iii, with AK diffuser. For macro it is very good with in camera focus stacking. Also use a 300mm f4 for wildlife. Easy to use, relatively light weight, with...

I have both, the Cygnustech and the AK, for my Olympus M1X. The diffusers are made for the flash and lens combination that you are using. In my case, 90mm f3.5 macro and Godox V860iii The Cygnustech and the AK are both very good diffusers. The difference for my is that the AK feels better...
